The Gift of Alabama: We are One
Article by Anne Scott
I was recently invited to go to Alabama to give a retreat, but it was postponed for a later date. A small group of women there decided to meet anyway, and at the last minute, my friend and colleague Lynda Terry suggested we hold a conversation with them via telephone. (Full Article)
Women Working with Oneness
Article by Anne Scott
Women Working with Oneness: A forum for women in service to life,
was held in San Rafael, California, in Fall 2004. It drew together
women from different spiritual, professional, cultural, and ethnic
communities. The second gathering in early spring 2005, allowed for
more intimacy because of its smaller venue. The third event brings
together Blackfoot, Sufi and Buddhist women. In all events, it was
demonstrated that when women come together from different communities
for the sake of the world, the pure current of love and oneness is
given. (Full Article)

Women now have a responsibility to the earth, to future generations,
and to life itself. At this critical juncture in history, women need

The Power of Dreaming
Article by Anne Scott
At night, when our conscious minds are at rest, our deeper wisdom,
the holy wisdom, speaks to us through our dreams. There are answers
in the darkness that we need, answers that cannot be found in the

windows of our perceptions, helping us to respond to the urgent need
of our time. (Full Article)

to what is Real, to what nourishes and heals. (Full

It was just one meal, but it changed my life. I was in my late twenties,
a freelance photojournalist living in Hong Kong, and had accepted
an assignment to photograph one of the first tour groups from the
U.S. to enter the People's Republic of China. I had requested vegetarian
food prior to the trip, without knowing it was going to be a problem
for the government tourist bureau. In every hotel, I was given the
same meal. It consisted of a plate of cabbage, a dish of peanuts,
and a bowl of white rice. I didn't mind. (Full

On Meditation
Article by Anne Scott
Southern Dharma Retreat Center Newsletter, Spring 2000
It was an ordinary evening with my family. I was sitting in
the living room, comfortably reading a review that included a quote
from Carl Jung. It was a simple but utterly potent statement. Jung
said that everyone has a secret, and that it is difficult to live
without a secret. The words reached into my heart and something woke
up, something which I didn't even understand. (Full Article)

Reflection, prayer and meditation on reveries can
lead to God.

A woman who had a hard time being still, or quiet, had a dream. She
stood before several shallow, muddy puddles of water. But in the distance
she could see deep pools of beautiful clear water. She picked her
way between the puddles to the pools and dived into one of them.
